Job summary

Jobgether on behalf of a partner company seeks an AI/ML Engineer based in Switzerland for a fully remote, contractor position. You will design, build, evaluate, deploy, and improve AI-powered applications used by nonprofit organizations and communities.

You will work with behavioral scientists, researchers, and embedded engineers to translate applied AI research into reliable, scalable products and reusable technical resources.

Qualifications

• Strong foundations in mathematics and modern AI systems.
• Hands-on experience with deep learning models and end-user products.
• Experience deploying AI systems and evaluating them in practical settings.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, evaluate, deploy, and improve ML systems and AI-powered apps.
• Contribute to open-source AI evaluation infrastructure and tools.
• Collaborate with researchers and field teams to translate research into reusable tools and publications.
• Develop evaluation methods with datasets, metrics, and measurable improvements.
• Build production-grade LLM applications and agentic systems for real users.
• Document technical decisions and maintain engineering standards.
• Mentor partner staff and help strengthen responsible AI practices.
• Conduct site visits to understand user needs and improve tools.
