Job summary

Agilent Technologies in Basel is seeking a Field Service Engineer (m/f/d) with a chromatography focus to install, configure, and maintain LC/GC systems at customer sites. You will troubleshoot hardware, software, and networking issues while delivering hands-on support and training to customers and field engineers.

The role requires a scientific degree, German and English fluency, and a willingness to travel up to 75%. French is a plus.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a scientific discipline with LC/GC focus.
Recent graduates welcome; internships/projects in chromatography beneficial.
Willingness to travel and provide on-site support as required.

Responsibilities

Provide on-site customer support for installation, configuration, maintenance, and repair of chromatography systems and related hardware and software.
Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and network issues to minimize downtime.
Perform preventive and corrective maintenance and optimize system performance.
Deliver training and knowledge transfer to customers and field engineers.
Maintain compliance with credentialing requirements and safety standards.
