Job summary

Pasan SA designs and builds solar simulators that measure photovoltaic performance for cells and modules. The role focuses on R&D and on-site service, balancing development with installation, calibration and troubleshooting at customer sites worldwide.

You will work in Neuchâtel, traveling internationally 20–30% of the year, reporting to the CTO. A hands-on, curious engineer with English language fluency is sought to strengthen our advanced PV measurement team.

Qualifications

• Curious and fast learner with a hands-on approach to hardware, firmware and field service.
• High proficiency with AI tools used daily to design, code, analyse and document.
• Electronic or technical background is preferred but not mandatory; hands-on hardware, test and measurement experience is a plus.
• Comfortable with an oscilloscope, soldering iron, and reading schematics, or eager to learn.

Responsibilities

• Research and development: design electronics for solar simulators, develop embedded firmware, build test benches and validate performance.
• Contribute to PC control software, test protocols and calibration procedures; write schematics and test reports.
• Work with suppliers on component selection and obsolescence; document known failure modes and fixes.
• Service: install, commission and calibrate machines at customer sites, diagnose faults remotely and on site; train customer operators; perform preventive maintenance.
