• Coordinate end-to-end import, export and cross-trade ocean shipments (LCL, FCL, Breakbulk).
• Own shipments from booking through final invoicing, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
• Provide updates to clients, address inquiries, and resolve issues to ensure service excellence.
• Identify and resolve delays in the shipping process with professional diplomacy.
• Ensure shipment profitability through cost verification and timely customer billing.
• Process carrier and vendor invoices and handle customer invoicing.
• Ensure compliance with international regulations, customs laws, and internal policies.

Our services include air and ocean freight forwarding, contract logistics, customs brokerage, distribution, inbound logistics, truckload brokerage and other supply chain management services, including consulting, the coordination of purchase orders and customized management services.

The Ocean Operations Specialist is responsible for the end-to-end coordination and management of import, export, and cross-trade ocean freight shipments (LCL, FCL and, where required, Breakbulk). The role takes ownership of assigned customer shipments from booking through final invoicing, ensuring operational accuracy, timely execution, compliance with company procedures and international regulations, and a high level of customer service. The position requires proactive communication and collaboration with customers, carriers, agents, authorities, and internal stakeholders to ensure the smooth movement of cargo.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Obtaining and comparing freight rates, as well as preparing quotes
• Take ownership of assigned shipments from booking through final invoicing while ensuring service excellence and operational profitability
• Customer Service: Act as the main point of contact for clients, providing updates, addressing inquiries, and resolving issues.
• Problem Resolution: Identify and address any issues or delays in the shipping process, implementing corrective actions as needed.
• Ensure shipment profitability through cost control, accurate vendor cost verification, and timely customer billing.
• Manage customer invoicing and verify and process carrier and vendor invoices.
• Compliance: Ensure all shipments comply with international regulations, customs laws, and company policies.
