Who we are looking for:

We are looking for a Logistics Specialist with a solid background in the maritime/shipping industry to join our Operations team. This role is not suited for generalist logistics profiles: hands-on experience in maritime transport and cargo handling is essential.

The selected candidate will play a key role in coordinating and optimizing logistics flows related to sea freight, ensuring operational efficiency, adherence to timelines, and compliance with industry regulations and procedures.

Key responsibilities:

• Coordinate international maritime shipments, overseeing the entire logistics cycle from departure to final delivery.
• Act as the main point of contact with freight forwarders, shipping agents, ports, and suppliers, ensuring seamless execution and accurate documentation.
• Manage and maintain shipping documentation (invoices, packing lists, certificates) with a strong understanding of maritime requirements.
• Monitor cargo readiness and equipment availability, proactively identifying and mitigating potential disruptions.
• Handle operational issues such as delays, shortages, or routing changes with speed and ownership.
• Ensure full compliance with customs regulations, maritime standards, and safety procedures.
• Work closely with Operations, Chartering, and Customer Service to deliver a high-quality service.

Requirements:

• Minimum 3-4 years of proven experience in logistics within the maritime/shipping industry (mandatory).
• Strong operational knowledge of sea freight processes, port operations, and shipping documentation.
• Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple shipments and deadlines
• Familiarity with logistics management systems and digital tools.
• Fluent English and Italian
• Team-oriented, with the ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, operational environment.
