Job summary

Ansaldo Energia in Switzerland invites a qualified mechanical technician to join our field service team, performing and supervising gas turbine inspections and maintenance worldwide. You will travel up to 90% of the time, supervise local service personnel, ensure compliance with EH&S and quality standards, and provide written reports about executed work.

Qualifications

• Qualified mechanical technician with a solid practical background and a completed mechanical apprenticeship.
• Over 1 year of continuous work experience, preferably in field service on heavy rotating machinery.
• Willingness to travel worldwide and to supervise maintenance tasks.

Responsibilities

• Perform and supervise mechanical service work during inspections and maintenance on gas turbines worldwide.
• Supervise local service personnel to ensure work meets specifications and outage schedules.
• Ensure all work complies with Environmental, Health & Safety standards and quality requirements.
• Provide written reports documenting executed assignments and outcomes.

Position:

• Perform and supervise mechanical service work during inspections and maintenance activities on gas turbines worldwide
• Supervise local service personnel associated with gas turbine activities to ensure maintenance is in accordance with equipment specifications and within outage schedule requirements
• Ensure all work is performed according to Environmental, Health & Safety standards as well as Quality requirements
• Responsible for the quality documentation according to scope of work, incl. providing a written report about executed assignments.

Requirements:

• Qualified mechanical Technician with a good practical background, completed mechanical apprenticeship and more than one (1) year continuous work experience , preferably in field service works on heavy rotating machinery
• Experience on GT26 Gas Turbine is a plus
• Eager to learn and develop to be able to supervise and perform gas turbine maintenance and inspection tasks
• Motivating , reliable & goal-oriented team player
• Flexible and able to work under pressure
• Capable to communicate and understand technical documentation
• Willing to travel worldwide (90% of the time) and e njoy meeting new people and different cultures
• Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
