Job summary

Sulzer is seeking a Back Office Engineer for Gas Turbine Field Services (m/f/x). The role can be based in any European country with a Sulzer presence and involves supporting Field Service Engineers, guiding maintenance, troubleshooting, inspections, and commissioning of gas turbines from major OEMs.

You will interpret drawings and specs, define repair methods, support site teams, and contribute to process improvements. Strong English is required; German is a plus.

Qualifications

• Holistic knowledge of Gas Turbines and their main auxiliary systems.
• Experience in troubleshooting, maintenance planning and problem solving.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings, P&IDs and technical specs.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
• English is essential; German is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Act as the primary technical support resource for Field Service Engineers.
• Provide guidance on maintenance, troubleshooting, inspections, overhauls and commissioning.
• Evaluate inspection findings and define repair methods and maintenance strategies.
• Review service reports and technical documentation for quality and compliance.
• Guide customers and site teams, resolve issues and propose engineering solutions.
• Drive continuous improvement of field service processes and documentation.
