Zusammenfassung

GE Vernova Gas Power in Birr is seeking a Manufacturing Engineering professional to lead the design, development and procurement of production tooling, fixtures, and measuring equipment for gas turbines, steam turbines, and generator rotors.

You will work within the BMK team to ensure tool availability, collaborate with production and engineering, and optimize tooling concepts while coordinating procurement and monitoring costs.

Qualifikationen

• Completed technical education, ideally a HF degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering or Industrial Engineering.
• Several years of practical experience in industrial manufacturing, production engineering, or tooling and fixture design.
• Proven experience in the design of production tooling, fixtures and manufacturing equipment for turbines or other large rotating equipment.
• Solid knowledge of machining processes, tooling concepts, and measurement strategies.
• Proficiency in SAP and, ideally, TDM or similar production-related systems.
• Fluent German and good English skills, both written and spoken, are required.

Aufgaben

• Manage the design and construction of specialized tools, measuring equipment, and fixtures for gas turbines, steam turbines, and generator rotors.
• Ensure the availability and on-time delivery of all required operating resources through internal manufacturing or external partners.
• Define and optimize tool, measurement, and manufacturing concepts in close collaboration with production and engineering.
• Develop machining strategies, calculate cutting parameters, and maintain TDM tool lists and related master data.
• Coordinate end-to-end procurement activities, including quotations, cost comparisons, and technical drawing reviews.
• Monitor process performance, tool consumption, and costs, initiating corrective actions and design improvements as needed.
