Zusammenfassung

GE Vernova Gas Power in Birr, Switzerland, seeks a Manufacturing Engineer in the Manufacturing Engineering department (Hot Gas Parts/New Parts) to support production and engineering teams, optimize processes and costs, and improve competitiveness.

You will define BOMs, routings, work instructions, and lead cross-functional interfaces with Design Engineering, Procurement and Shop Floor, while mentoring junior colleagues and driving SQDC improvements.

Qualifikationen

• Completed technical vocational training (Swiss EFZ or equivalent), ideally as a Polymechanic or Design Engineer.
• Further education in a technical or management field (e.g., HF Technician, Process Specialist, or a B.Sc. in Mechanical/Industrial Engineering).
• Proven experience working with PLM systems (Teamcenter or Enovia).
• Hands-on experience with ERP systems (SAP).
• Experience in manufacturing, operations, or Hot Gas Path engineering.
• Ability to interpret complex drawings, specifications and quality documentation.
• Working knowledge of Lean/CI methodologies.
• Proficiency in German and English.

Aufgaben

• Create and maintain manufacturing BOMs (mBOM) and ensure ERP integration.
• Define routing steps, work instructions and production cycle times.
• Conduct cost comparisons and support annual price updates.
• Coordinate PLM part definition changes.
• Manage master data for tooling, fixtures and consumables in ERP.
• Drive SQDC improvements across Safety, Quality, Delivery and Cost.
• Mentor junior team members and transfer specialized knowledge.
• Serve as interface between Design, Procurement and Shop Floor Operations.
