Zusammenfassung

GE Vernova Gas Power in Birr, Switzerland is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to provide technical support to production and engineering teams. You will define BOMs, routings, and cost updates, and drive improvements across SQDC while mentoring junior staff and collaborating with Design Engineering, Procurement, and Shop Floor Operations.

The role requires strong PLM and ERP experience (Teamcenter/Enovia/SAP), Swiss EFZ or equivalent, and fluency in German and English.

Qualifikationen

• Completed technical vocational training (Swiss EFZ or equivalent), ideally as a Polymechanic or Design Engineer.
• Further education in a technical or management field (e.g., HF Technician, Process Specialist, or a B.Sc. in Mechanical/Industrial Engineering or equivalent knowledge and experience).
• Proven experience working with PLM systems (ideally Teamcenter or Enovia).
• Hands‑on experience with ERP systems (ideally SAP).
• Experience in a manufacturing, operations, or Hot Gas Path (HGP) engineering environment.
• Strong ability to interpret complex technical drawings, specifications, and quality documentation.
• Working knowledge of Lean/Continuous Improvement (CI) methodologies.
• Proficiency in German and English skills.

Aufgaben

• Create and maintain manufacturing BOMs within PLM and ensure ERP integration.
• Define and maintain routing steps, work instructions, and cycle times for complex turbine components.
• Perform cost comparisons and support annual price updates.
• Coordinate PLM part definition changes implementation.
• Manage master data for tooling, fixtures, and consumables in ERP to ensure production readiness.
• Drive strategic initiatives to optimize SQDC across Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Cost.
• Mentor junior team members to foster technical development and knowledge transfer.
• Serve as interface between Design Engineering, Procurement, and Shop Floor Operations to resolve bottlenecks and ensure schedule adherence.
