Job summary

Hotel Mandarin Oriental Palace Luzern is seeking a Chef de Partie to lead a kitchen station within our Culinary team. The role requires a completed culinary apprenticeship and 2–3 years of professional experience in upscale hospitality, with strong German and English communication.

You will uphold high quality, presentation, and hygiene standards, while collaborating with the Head and Sous Chefs. The position offers a permanent contract, 100% workload, and weekend/holiday shifts at our luxury

Qualifications

• Completed culinary apprenticeship with Swiss VET diploma or equivalent.
• 2–3 years of professional experience in a similar role, preferably upscale hospitality.
• Strong German and English communication skills; additional languages are an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Lead your assigned kitchen station and ensure smooth daily operations while adhering to quality and hygiene standards.
• Ensure flawless preparation, high quality, and attractive presentation of dishes in line with elevated culinary expectations.
• Actively control and minimize food waste through efficient and forward-thinking work practices.
• Contribute creatively and support development of new dishes and food concepts.
• Request supplies in coordination with supervisor and monitor daily goods receipt.
• Oversee daily HACCP hygiene controls and ensure cleanliness.
