Job summary

CERN seeks an ATLAS Muon LS3 Integration and Installation Manager to coordinate LS3 activities between Muon sub-projects and ATLAS TC. You will oversee planning, scheduling, risk management and reporting for detector upgrades and maintenance in the UX15 cavern.

The role requires collaboration with ATLAS TC, safety systems experience, and a PhD or equivalent in Physics. On-site work during long shutdowns with travel within CERN facilities could be expected.

Qualifications

• PhD or equivalent relevant experience in Physics or related field.
• Experience coordinating activities for large-scale detector systems or complex scientific installations.
• Experience planning and managing work programs with multiple teams and stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate installation and integration activities across Muon projects; track progress and identify risks.
• Serve as liaison between Muon sub-projects and ATLAS Technical Coordination (TC); provide status updates and documentation.
• Develop and monitor the integrated LS3 schedule for Muon installation, integration and maintenance in collaboration with ATLAS TC.
• Organise and chair regular ATLAS Muon LS3 coordination meetings and maintain an overview of activities.
• Prepare and maintain comprehensive documentation and progress reports.
