Job summary

CERN in Geneva is seeking a Planning Engineer within the ATLAS Technical Coordination to monitor the LS3 installation schedule, report delays, and propose mitigations. You will collaborate with Project Engineers to understand constraints and support schedule changes to the baseline.

You will join the PMO and play a leading role in quarterly status reporting, assisting Upgrade Project Leaders in updating schedules and progress summaries.

Qualifications

• Master's degree or equivalent relevant experience in engineering.
• Experience in planning, forecasting and coordinating resources.
• Knowledge of planning software such as MS Project.
• Liaising with internal and external stakeholders is desirable.
• Experience coordinating technical activities is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain ATLAS installation schedules for LS3 and baseline changes.
• Monitor progress in planning meetings with Project Engineers.
• Report delays and propose mitigation measures to recover time.
• Contribute to scheduling tools maintenance and improvement.
• Lead quarterly status reporting and update schedules for upgrades.
• Supervise the ATLAS interface team with the Oracle database.
