Job summary

At CERN, a Planning Engineer will manage the ATLAS LS3 installation schedule, report delays, and propose mitigation. You will work with Project Engineers to update baselines, support PMO quarterly reports, and assist Upgrade Project Leaders in scheduling progress.

You will supervise a small software team interfacing with the ATLAS Oracle database and contribute to tool maintenance and improvements. Fluency in English; French learning encouraged.

Qualifications

• Master's degree or equivalent in Engineering or related field.
• Experience planning, forecasting and coordinating resources in engineering.
• Strong knowledge of planning software (e.g. MS Project).
• Experience liaising with internal and external stakeholders.
• Experience in coordinating technical activities; team supervision is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain ATLAS installation schedules for LS3 and track changes.
• Monitor progress in planning meetings and coordinate with Project Engineers.
• Report delays and propose mitigation to recover time.
• Support quarterly status reporting and schedule revisions for upgrades.
• Oversee interface with the ATLAS Oracle database and guide the software team.
