Job summary

Lever, Inc. is seeking a hands-on Lead Engineer and Architect (.NET) for an industrial IoT asset tracking platform serving global leaders. This fully remote role balances coding with leadership, system design, and process optimization in a cloud-first environment.

You will architect distributed systems with C#, .NET, SQL, and modern frontend tech, mentor a distributed team, and drive AI tooling adoption across engineering teams.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• 3+ years in technical leadership or engineering management.
• Expert-level mastery in C#, .NET Framework & Core, SQL Server, ASP.NET Web API.
• Experience designing concurrent, fault-tolerant distributed systems.
• Strong TDD mindset with robust CI/CD and test practices.
• Hands-on with AI-assisted development tools and GitHub Copilot.
• Excellent communication with technical and executive stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Design, architect, and write production code for core platform features.
• Lead a distributed agile team with sprint planning and mentorship.
• Drive engineering excellence: TDD, CI/CD, observability, security-by-design.
• Champion AI integration within engineering workflows and product features.
• Resolve performance and architectural bottlenecks for high-scale deployments.
• Collaborate with Product/Ops/Leadership to refine tech roadmaps and recruit.
