Zusammenfassung

Universität Bern is seeking an ICT System Administrator to deliver first‑line IT support, handle help desk requests and assist with workplace systems.

You will manage Windows clients and servers, Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and TCP/IP, participate in patching and backups, and help with on‑call duties. This fixed‑term role is based at the central Bern campus, offering interdisciplinary collaboration and a supportive team environment.

Qualifikationen

• Completed IT training with focus on system technology or platform development.
• Experience in IT support and Windows systems administration.
• Good knowledge of Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, group policies and TCP/IP.
• Experience with Windows clients and Microsoft Office environments.
• Knowledge of Windows servers administration and patch management.
• Basic knowledge of networking, data backup, and IT security.
• Experience with ticket systems and structured support processes is an advantage.
• Independent, reliable, service-oriented working style.

Aufgaben

• First-level support and help desk, triage IT requests.
• Advise employees on ICT services and workplace systems.
• Install, configure, operate and maintain Windows clients, notebooks, printers, devices.
• Administer Windows servers, Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, TCP/IP.
• Participate in patch and update management and backups.
• Support IT projects and documentation.
• Assist with relocations and integration of new hardware/software.
• Contribute to IT on-call service and security guidelines.
