Ridgeline Discovery in Basel is seeking an IT Student Support (Werkstudent) to assist the IT Manager on site. The role is part-time (50–80%) with core hours 8:00–17:00, starting as soon as possible and for about one year. You will gain hands-on IT experience while supporting a fast-growing biotech ecosystem.

The position requires enrolled student status, Swiss work permit eligibility, English proficiency, and willingness to learn. Flexible scheduling and a dynamic team environment are offered.

Qualifikationen

• Must be enrolled in a study program (e.g., university).
• Must have a valid work permit for Switzerland or EU/EFTA citizenship.
• Practical experience in IT-related fields, such as system engineering or IT support.
• Familiarity with Windows operating systems.

• Proficient in English, both written and spoken.

• Provide 1st and potentially 2nd Level IT Support via the ticketing system, including basic troubleshooting and issue resolution.
• Assist in keeping our IT inventory system up to date.
• Assist in rolling out software across multiple systems and platforms.
• Participate in the planning and execution of IT projects.
• Perform routine administrative and technical tasks to support IT operations.

We are looking for a motivated entry-level candidate who is eager to develop their IT skills alongside their studies. The ideal candidate brings initial experience and a strong interest in the field, demonstrating reliability and the ability to work independently under the guidance of the IT Manager.

This part-time role as Student Support in IT requires onsite presence in Basel, with core business hours from 8:00 to 17:00. We offer flexibility to accommodate candidates with a workload between 50–80%, with specific working days and schedules to be discussed and agreed upon.

Start date is as soon as possible (upon agreement). The position is initially offered on a fixed-term basis for approximately one year, until the beginning of the 2027 autumn semester.
