Job summary

Global Fund in Geneva, Switzerland seeks a Strategy Officer to support the development of its six-year Strategy and policies through rigorous research, analysis and coordination.

Reporting to the Advisor, Strategy Development, you will synthesize evidence and stakeholder perspectives to inform decisions, prepare strategic materials for senior management and governance, and assist with the funding model, KPI design and program operationalization.

Qualifications

• First degree in public health, international development, development economics, business administration or a related field.
• Relevant work experience in international management consultancy, public health or development organization, multilateral or bilateral organization, or not-for-profit setting.
• Familiarity with indicators, information sources and organizations in international development, HIV, TB, malaria and health systems.
• Experience distilling strategic points from research and discussions; drafting concise reports; presenting to stakeholders.
• Experience with responsible use of AI tools in research and evidence synthesis.
• Desirable: over 2 years of relevant experience; familiarity with the Global Fund, funding model and operations.
• Languages: English is excellent; French working knowledge is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Undertake high-quality information gathering and analysis in public health and development to support strategy development.
• Undertake landscape analyses of HIV, TB, malaria, health systems and development indicators for multi-year strategies.
• Prepare for and support high-level meetings with key stakeholders, developing background materials and reports.
• Synthesize conclusions and key strategic takeaways from discussions and evidence.
• Develop succinct and strategic materials to guide stakeholder input and decision-making.
• Work with Secretariat divisions to obtain input on strategy development and organizational direction.
• Contribute to drafting Board and Committee presentations and materials.
• Assist Secretariat in operationalizing strategy, including the funding model, KPI development, grant lifecycle and operations.
