Mandarin Oriental Savoy in Zurich is seeking a Front Office Trainee to join their team. The role involves providing excellent Front Desk service while ensuring guests have exceptional experiences from arrival to departure.

About the job

Based at the Mandarin Oriental Savoy, Zurich within the Front Office Department, the Front Office Trainee will meet and exceed guest expectations by providing efficient and courteous Front Desk service in accordance with Legendary Quality Experiences. The Front Office Trainee reports to the Assistant Front Office Manager and Front Office Manager.

As Front Office Trainee, you will beresponsiblefor the following tasks:

• Delivering exceptional arrival and departure experiences
• Supporting the billing and invoicing process with accuracy and efficiency
• Building genuine personal connections with guests and ensuring continuous care, comfort, and warmth throughout their stay
• Ensuring strict adherence to all health and safety regulations
• Managing a variety of administrative and operational tasks while maintaining a thorough understanding of our Mission Statement, Pillars, and service standards
• Proactively identifying opportunities for up-selling and cross-selling, encouraging guests to enjoy the full range of hotel facilities

• Enrolled as a student in a Swiss hotel management school
• Warm welcoming personality with strong communication skills, both verbal and written - guests will approach you with both complaints and positive feedback, so you will always be open and approachable
• Good organisational skills with the ability to handle reservations
• Good understanding of luxury service and willingness to go the extra mile
• Expressiveness, open-mindedness, and team spirit
• Ability to work under pressure and flexibility
• Very good knowledge of German and English. Further foreign language skills are an advantage
