Job summary

Hilo by Aktiia, a remote-first med-tech scale-up headquartered in Neuchâtel, seeks a Financial Controller to own the integrity of financial records and to build the accounting backbone for scalable international growth.

The role covers monthly, quarterly and annual closes across multiple legal entities, VAT/compliance, group consolidation and supervision of day-to-day accounting. You will drive automation, controls and AI-enabled workflows.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in accounting, audit (Big 4) or financial controlling.
• Hands-on with monthly/annual closings and group consolidation.
• Strong Excel/Google Sheets skills and data handling.
• Experience with ERP systems and intercompany accounting.

Responsibilities

• Own monthly, quarterly and annual close across multiple entities.
• Coordinate accounting across jurisdictions and intercompany reconciliations.
• Supervise a small accounting team and manage journals, reconciliations and lead schedules.
• Improve automation and AI-driven workflows in Finance.
