Job summary

Johnson & Johnson is seeking a Director of MTO Operational Excellence in Schaffhausen, Switzerland. The role leads continuous improvement and governance, shaping programs and roadmaps to deliver the site’s long-term vision.

The incumbent will drive CIP pipeline, site KPI, and portfolio management, while building capabilities and mentoring teams to advance Lean/Six Sigma and project management capabilities across the site.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Science required; MSc/MBA preferred.
• Minimum 8 years operations/planning/project management experience; 3–5 years leading CI/Lean in a regulated environment.
• Experience leading cross-functional teams; certification in Lean/CI (Master Black Belt or Lean/Six Sigma Black Belt preferred).
• German language at C2 level is required.

Responsibilities

• Lead JJPS/Operational Excellence and Lean Culture at the site.
• Map value streams, identify gaps, and drive reliability improvements across strategic brands.
• DRI for CIP pipeline; manage site cost improvement portfolio in Planisware; drive CIP targets and site KPI.
• Ensure adherence to performance management cadence and prepare performance review decks for reporting.
• Lead deployment of global programs like Smart Change Over, OEE, Golden Batch, and Waste to Excellence.
• Provide coaching and mentoring for project management and Lean/Six Sigma certifications.
• Partner with leaders to deploy the site strategy, goals, and long-term roadmaps aligned with MTO/Platform Strategy.
• Manage PMO governance and portfolio prioritization to maximize value.
