Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced Cold Chain Project Coordinator / Cold Chain Expert to support temperature-controlled logistics projects within a pharmaceutical manufacturing environment.
The role combines project coordination with hands-on cold-chain expertise, supporting the design, implementation and continuous improvement of solutions for temperature-sensitive pharmaceutical products.
The successful candidate will coordinate activities across Supply Chain, Quality, Logistics, Operations, Engineering, Procurement and external service providers, ensuring cold-chain solutions are delivered on time and in compliance with GMP, GDP, quality and regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate cold-chain projects and implementation activities across multiple internal and external stakeholders.
- Maintain project plans, documentation, validation records, timelines and progress reports.
- Support the design and implementation of temperature-controlled packaging, transport and storage solutions.
- Coordinate activities relating to shipping lanes, lane qualification, monitoring concepts and operational handovers.
- Monitor project progress, risks, deviations, issues and mitigation activities.
- Assess risks relating to temperature excursions, transport conditions, packaging solutions and storage requirements.
- Ensure cold-chain solutions comply with relevant GMP, GDP, quality, regulatory and customer requirements.
- Collaborate with Quality, Logistics, Supply Chain, Operations, Engineering, Procurement and external logistics/service providers to ensure successful project delivery.
Must Haves
- Strong experience within pharmaceutical/biopharmaceutical cold chain, temperature-controlled logistics or a closely related area.
- Good knowledge of GMP/GDP requirements for temperature-sensitive pharmaceutical products.
- Experience coordinating projects, workstreams or implementation activities involving multiple stakeholders.
- Knowledge of temperature-controlled packaging, shipping and/or storage solutions.
- Understanding of transport lanes, lane qualification and temperature-monitoring concepts.
- Experience assessing temperature excursions, cold-chain risks, deviations or operational issues.
- Strong analytical, investigative and problem-solving skills with the ability to simplify complex topics.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills with a proactive, delivery-focused approach.
