Optotune is seeking a Business Development Manager to connect market needs with innovative optical solutions. You will identify trends, discover new application opportunities, shape future products, and collaborate with sales to drive sustainable growth and value creation for customers.

Qualifikationen

• MSc or equivalent technical degree required.
• 5+ years in technical sales, preferably optics/photonics or machine vision.
• Ability to identify new customers and build relationships.
• Willingness to travel internationally.
• Fluent English; German knowledge advantageous.

As our Business Development Manager, you will connect market needs with innovative optical solutions. You will identify trends, discover new application opportunities, help shape future products, and work closely with sales to drive sustainable growth and create real customer value.

• Strategic development of Optotune’s business in the imaging market
• Identification of customer pain points and where Optotune can add real value
• Development of strategic partnerships with key players of the ecosystem

Requirements

• Must have technical background (MSc or equivalent)
• At least 5 years of experience in technical sales, preferably in optics/photonics or machine vision
• Experience in management consulting advantageous
• Ability to identify new customers, build up & maintain relationships
• Ability to understand customers' technical requirements and suggest solutions
• Passion for technology & innovation, winning personality, well organized, autonomous and prepared to travel internationally
• Excellent knowledge of English, good knowledge of German, other languages advantageous
• Good working knowledge in MS Office applications & AI tools
