Job summary

Union Bancaire Privée in Geneva seeks an IT Developer / Business Analyst to blend software development with business analysis in a bank IT setting. You will analyze requirements, design and implement solutions, and document technical and functional details with a strong emphasis on security and standards.

You will collaborate with IT teams, business stakeholders and vendors while supporting testing and deployment activities, and helping users post-go-live.

Qualifications

• University degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering or related field.
• Basic knowledge of banking and financial services.
• Professional experience in software development.
• Previous experience in business analysis or IT project delivery would be an advantage.
• Fluency in both French and English, with excellent written and spoken communication skills.

Responsibilities

• The position combines software development, business analysis and project delivery activities within the Bank’s IT environment.
• Analyze, estimate and plan technical, security and functional requirements.
• Design, develop, test and implement solutions in accordance with the Bank’s standards and procedures.
• Maintain clear, accurate and up-to-date technical and functional documentation.
• Implement and maintain development, testing and deployment tools and processes.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of applications, processes and development practices.
• Provide Level 3 support for applications, including complex incident analysis and coordination with vendors.
• Collaborate with IT teams, business stakeholders and third-party providers.
• As a Business Analyst, assist sponsors in defining and documenting requirements.
• Translate user needs into actionable specifications and define solutions with project stakeholders.
• Prepare deliverables and workshops to gather requirements and support delivery.
• Support development, testing (SIT/UAT) and risk/mitigation planning.
• Train users during implementation and contribute to user documentation.
