Job summary

Pictet in Geneva seeks a Technical Business Analyst to bridge business needs and IT delivery in a fast-paced banking tech environment. You will translate complex requirements into functional specs for ETD and OTC trading, settlements and reconciliation, collaborating with product managers and engineers in an Agile setup.

You'll analyse processes, contribute to solution design using APIs, cloud tech and AI, and ensure quality through testing, documentation and production support.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Business Information Systems, Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related field.
• Strong technical understanding of software development, ideally including PL/SQL, with the ability to translate business requirements into effective technical solutions.
• Experience with Avaloq customization is a strong advantage.
• Experience with Java or another object-oriented programming language is highly desirable.
• Exposure to cloud platforms (Azure, AWS or GCP) and a keen interest in AI-enabled solutions, automation and data-driven decision-making.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving and communication skills; fluent in French and English.

Responsibilities

• Act as the primary interface between business stakeholders and IT teams, translating requirements into clear functional and technical specifications for ETD trading, OTC trading, settlement and reconciliation, and interbank messaging.
• Work with the product manager to support product discovery and strategy through analysis of challenges and opportunities.
• Translate business needs into epics, user stories, and acceptance criteria with traceability to objectives.
