Zusammenfassung

Lonza Visp in Switzerland seeks an experienced MES engineer to design, implement and validate MES recipes and DeltaV control strategies supporting compliant biopharmaceutical manufacturing. You will collaborate with Manufacturing, Process Development, Automation, Engineering, and Quality teams to ensure seamless system integration and operational excellence.

• Strong MES knowledge, ideally Werum PAS-X or similar platforms.
• Experience with Emerson DeltaV or other distributed control systems.
• Understanding of GMP regulations and computerized system validation.
• Ability to analyze complex technical issues and implement solutions.
• Excellent communication and cross-disciplinary collaboration.

What You Will Do

• Design, implement, and validate MES recipes and DeltaV control strategies that support robust and compliant biopharmaceutical manufacturing processes.
• Partner closely with Manufacturing, Process Development, Automation, Engineering, and Quality teams to ensure seamless system integration and operational excellence.
• Troubleshoot and resolve MES and DeltaV system issues, minimizing production disruptions and supporting reliable plant operations.
• Develop and maintain technical documentation, including specifications, work instructions, and validation records in accordance with GMP requirements.
• Support end users through training, technical guidance, and ongoing system expertise.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives, identifying opportunities to optimize manufacturing processes, automation strategies, and system performance.
• Contribute to the implementation of new technologies and digital manufacturing solutions that enhance productivity, compliance, and operational efficiency.

What We Are Looking For

• Experience working in the pharmaceutical, biopharmaceutical, biotechnology, or other highly regulated manufacturing environments.
• Strong knowledge of Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES), ideally including Werum PAS-X, Rockwell PharmaSuite, or comparable platforms.
• Experience with Emerson DeltaV or other distributed control systems used in process manufacturing.
• Understanding of GMP regulations, computerized system validation, and qualification activities in regulated industries.
• Ability to analyze complex technical issues, identify root causes, and implement effective solutions.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively across multidisciplinary teams.
• A degree in Bioprocess Engineering, Biotechnology, Automation Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical discipline, or equivalent experience demonstrating these capabilities.
