Job summary

Approach People Recruitment is assisting an established industrial company to recruit an Area Sales Manager for Building Automation in Central Switzerland. The role combines field sales with home office and requires managing an autonomous territory across BE/SO/LU/OW/NW with a strong focus on acquiring new projects.

You will engage with engineering offices, architects and technical partners, while leveraging internal support to drive opportunities in electrical engineering and automation.

Qualifications

• Technical education in electrical engineering, electronics, automation or a comparable technical discipline.
• Good understanding of building automation, electrical systems and/or automation technology.
• Previous experience in technical B2B sales, ideally as an Area Sales Manager or Sales Engineer.
• Fluent German is essential; English is an advantage.
• Residence within BE / SO / LU / OW / NW territory.

Responsibilities

• Manage and develop the sales territory BE / SO / LU / OW / NW.
• Build relationships with existing customers and approach new clients and projects.
• Develop opportunities within building automation and electrical engineering ecosystem.
• Engage with engineering offices, architects, integrators and other technical partners.
• Identify upcoming construction and infrastructure projects across commercial buildings, hospitals and industry.
• Understand customer requirements and recommend appropriate technical solutions.
• Achieve revenue targets and manage a regional sales portfolio.
• Conduct approximately 15–20 customer meetings per week.
