Job summary

AIT Worldwide Logistics, Inc. in Zurich seeks a Specialist Air Import to manage compliant import operations for customers, including process implementation, workflow optimization, and accurate administration.

Strong attention to detail and quality are essential to deliver exceptional service. Candidates should have freight forwarding training, several years in import air freight, and fluency in English and German, with MS Office proficiency.

Qualifications

• Completed training in freight forwarding.
• Trainings and professional courses in import and Dangerous Goods (DG).
• Several years of experience in commercial import air freight.
• Efficient, fast and independent way of working.
• Ability to work in a team.
• Responsible and reliable.
• Good organizational skills.
• Proactive, responsible and dynamic personality.
• Team and service orientation.
• Fluent oral and written English and German.
• Additional European languages are an asset.
• Strong PC skills (Windows, Microsoft Office) preferred.
• Experience using freight forwarding software.

Responsibilities

• Entry of shipments and processing of import orders.
• Supporting and advising customers and agents.
• Preparation and monitoring of offers.
• Billing to customers.
• Processing of special orders and complaints.
• Preparation of delivery bills and customs documents.
• Monitoring appointments.
• Maintenance of performance statistics for accounting.
• Documentation and optimization of workflows.
• Support of supervisors in projects.
• Documentation and filing of files.
• Performing general administrative tasks.
• Execute all Dangerous Goods shipments in compliance with laws and regulations (as applicable).
• Contribute to a healthy and secure work environment by reporting unsafe conditions.
