We are currently hiring Full Time and Part Time, Day or Evening Personal Support Workers (PSW) for Community Care in Collingwood.

Return of Service (ROS): $10,000 to recent PSW graduates in exchange for a 12-month commitment to work full-time in a long-term care home or within the community

Qualifications

  • RN or RPN
  • Nursing student (2 clinical placements completed)
  • Home Support Level 2 or level 3 from a recognized curriculum
  • Valid Developmental Support Worker Certificate
  • Foreign trained healthcare professional – Nurse
Requirements
  • A valid driver’s license and vehicle to use for work daily is required
  • Meet Immunization requirements – MMR, Varicella, TB, Tetanus and Covid
  • Current vulnerable sector check (VSC)
  • Current Standard CPR level C certificate and First Aid
  • Availability to work days or evenings
  • This is a physically demanding position and requires hand, arm and shoulder dexterity, sensory ability, lifting to a maximum of approximately fifty-five (55) pounds, walking, climbing stairs, standing, bending, reaching, and frequent movement
ROS eligibility
  • Successfully completed an Ontario PSW training program on or after April 1, 2023, at a public-assisted college, private career college, district school board or Indigenous Institute that meets the 2022 program standard established by the Ontario Ministry of Colleges and Universities program standard
  • Begin employment with a participating employer between April 1, 2023, and March 31, 2026
  • Commit to 12 months of employment at a full-time work schedule
