Job Description

Market Rollout and Product Strategy

  • Drive client and market launches of digital products and key initiatives (including Click to Pay, Agentic Commerce, Tap-to-Phone solutions, Visa Passkeys, and enhanced data solutions) while accelerating adoption of authentication and tokenization to deliver secure, seamless checkout experiences and stronger client engagement.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for digital product strategy and execution for Canada.
  • Monitor and analyze emerging payment trends, new technologies, and competitive insights.
  • Collaborate with Visa Consulting & Analytics, Finance, and research teams to assess macro factors and industry impacts.

Client Engagement and Thought Leadership

  • Showcase executive presence and thought leadership and confidently communicate strategic insights and industry developments to influence decision‑making.
  • Partner with global Visa product teams and build local subject‑matter expertise to deliver new initiatives and import leading strategies to Canada.
  • Research and recommend enhancements to Visa products, including new features, value proposition improvements, mobile integrations, Visa API utilization, and third‑party partnerships.

Product Launch and Revenue Growth

  • Provide business, technical, and operational guidance to support client digital product launches, working closely with client teams to ensure success.
  • Collaborate with Sales to promote and sell product solutions.
  • Work with Marketing to develop growth campaigns and with Client Services to ensure successful product launches that drive adoption and revenue.
  • Ensure compliance with product, brand, and risk management standards.

Team Leadership and Development

  • Lead and mentor a team of product managers and analysts, fostering a culture of continuous learning and excellence.
  • Build subject‑matter expertise for new initiatives within the team, ensuring local capability while leveraging global resources as needed.
  • Drive team professionalism, integrity, and collaboration across internal and external stakeholders.

This is a hybrid position. Expectation of days in office will be confirmed by your hiring manager.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

  • 10 or more years of work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or at least 8 years of work experience with an Advanced degree (e.g. Masters MBA JD MD)

Preferrred Experience and Industry Expertise

  • 10 or more years in product management, project management or management consulting within a payments environment.
  • Deep expertise in the payments industry and payments technology, with strong functional and technical knowledge of the digital payments ecosystem.
  • Proven experience across key areas such as Tokenization, Authentication and Identity, and online checkout solutions.
  • Well‑versed in digital payments trends and developments with a demonstrated commitment to staying current.

Leadership and Strategic Skills

  • Demonstrated leadership experience, including managing and mentoring teams of product managers and analysts.
  • A recognized thought leader who can shape future strategy and demonstrates executive presence & strong client engagement skills.
  • Demonstrated success working with global and local teams in a collaborative environment.
  • Solid understanding of payment network and client P&L drivers (issuers, acquirers, and merchants).

Communication and Analytical Skills

  • Exceptional communication skills (oral and written) with the ability to influence and drive alignment across all levels.
  • Ability to translate complex business concepts for technical audiences and technical details for business stakeholders, engaging effectively from operational to executive levels.
  • Strong analytical, execution, and decision‑making skills.
  • Outstanding organizational and project management capabilities, with a track record of delivering results.
