Responsibilities

• Medication administration
• Perform patient/client assessments
• Patient and family health teaching
• Monitor, assess, and document changes in patient/client condition
• Assist with Activities of Daily Living
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to determine and implement patient care plans
• Additional opportunities as assigned by Nursing Supervisor

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program
• Current registration with the College of Nurses in good standing
• Familiarity with equipment including monitors, intravenous (IV) pumps, ventilators, and feeding tubes
• Tracheostomy and ventilation care experience is considered an asset
• Previous experience in community nursing is considered an asset
• Current CPR/First Aid certification
• Vulnerable Sector Screening (within 3 months of hire)
• Up-to-date immunization records (MMR, TDAP, Varicella, Hep B, Covid-19)
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to follow patient/client care plans
• Excellent documentation skills
• Strong problem-solving skills
• Excellent patient service skills
• Reliable transportation
• Valid driver's license and access to a vehicle is considered an asset
