Color & Curl Concierge

The Color & Curl Concierge / Colour & Curl Specialist is our steward to the industry, demonstrating our dominance in all things color related and in talent development, technical, social media, business and selling skills.

In addition to daily sales associate responsibilities, the CCC/CCS maximizes sales by:

1. Creating increased customer retention and loyalty
2. Building lasting relationships and driving behaviors that grow brand awareness and hair color market share.
3. Using market analysis to sell approved beauty products, introduce new products and concepts, provide customer service, conduct product education both in store and virtually.
4. Providing color & curl/texture consulting services to professional beauty salons, barbers, spas, schools and licensed cosmetologists.

The CCC/CCS is a vital role whose main focus is driving the color & curl business. This role requires extensive education provided through online guided learning and certification courses.

Primary Duties

You are the expert in Color & Curl/Texture and your primary duties surround this expertise!

1. Determine customer color and care related needs and offer professional advice and recommendations to ensure the customer has the knowledge and products needed to meet their client needs.
2. Communicate upward and cross functionally regarding calls, visits, orders, status of sales progress, follow-up plans and any assistance needed with customers, associates, and vendors.
3. Responsible for ensuring customer concerns and questions are resolved in a timely, appropriate, and effective manner.
4. Maintain a high standard of color and curl merchandising, placement, store signage, and proper display techniques to ensure the brand guidelines of an inviting atmosphere for customers.
5. Stay informed regarding emerging trends, remain agile in response to market changes, and build Industry knowledge to share with business partners, while adapting your own personal sales techniques in response to the competitive market.
6. Ensures all store opening and closing procedures are performed correctly with occasional responsibility to make bank deposits and complete cash handling or other monetary transactions.
7. Demonstrate our CosmoProf/BSG Culture Values and adhere to our company code of ethics and behavior.

Experience And Skills Required

1. One year retail or other sales-focused experience
2. Licensed cosmetologist highly preferred in US and Canada
3. Reliable transportation to effectively service designated store and market.
4. Ability to travel to shows and/or sales meetings a minimum of 3 times a year.
5. Strong business acumen and ability to read, interpret, and action on pertinent sales reporting.
6. Working knowledge of retail sales, inventory control systems and visual merchandising is strongly preferred.
7. Strong knowledge of POS applications.
8. Comprehensive knowledge of computers, ipads, mobile devices and social media platforms.
9. Is committed to working scheduled hours and has the flexibility to work additional hours based on changing business needs.
10. May be required to work in other stores and in field at times.
11. Strong time management and organization skills and the ability to manage multiple projects at once.
12. Ability to present a professional image and interact positively with the public.
13. Strong written and verbal communication skills, at all levels within and outside the organization.
14. Must pass Color Certification Test within 60 days of hire to remain in position.

Working Conditions / Physical Requirements

The work environment involves everyday risks or discomforts which require normal safety precautions typical of such places as offices, meeting and training rooms, retail stores, and residences or commercial vehicles, e.g., use of safe work practices with office equipment, avoidance of trips and falls, observance of fire regulations and traffic signals, etc.
