JOB SUMMARY :
Lantic is recruiting for the position of Information Technology Business Analyst at our Vancouver facility. The role reports to the Manager, Enterprise Applications. The ITBA is experienced with major enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems, proficient with business and manufacturing applications, and able to develop technology solutions for business benefits.
The successful candidates will be service-oriented, leveraging their relationships, experience, and knowledge to provide value. They will troubleshoot, explore modern technology solutions, and assess and recommend efficient technology options. As business partners, they will work closely with non-technical professionals to understand and implement solutions related to applications, data, and processes, either individually or as part of a project team.
The ITBAs will conduct their work professionally, utilizing project management and other frameworks such as ITIL, ITSM, and Agile.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Build effective relationships with staff at all levels.
- Understand business processes and technology to make effective recommendations.
- Conduct cost-benefit analyses and provide technology solution recommendations.
- Collaborate with business leaders to address challenges and needs.
- Work with application specialists and developers to identify solutions.
- Coordinate communication between IT and other departments.
- Lead small to medium projects to completion, working with partners, IT staff, and vendors.
- Identify risks and management strategies to ensure project success.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE :
Required :
- At least three (3) years of relevant experience.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field, or equivalent post-secondary qualification.
- Effective communication skills in English; French is an asset.
- Professional relationship-building skills.
- Self-motivated and eager to learn.
- Experience with structured work management methodologies.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
- Organized, self-managed, and deadline-oriented.
- Focus on innovation and modern technology solutions that add value.
Optional (asset) :
- Experience with application implementations and business transformation.
- Knowledge of decision-making and business intelligence tools (e.g., PowerBI, Tableau).
- Experience with data warehouses, data analysis, and internal controls documentation.
WORKING CONDITIONS :
- Some infrequent travel within Canada.
- Work may be performed in warehouses or plants using technology.
