Job summary
A leading HR advisory firm is seeking a CNC Grinding Technician to operate CNC grinding machines while maintaining safety and quality standards. The ideal candidate will have experience with quality assurance processes and preventive maintenance. This position offers a salary range of $3000 to $4000, depending on experience, and requires full-time availability in Alberta, Canada.
Responsibilities
- Produces machined parts by operating a CNC grinder.
- Maintaining quality and safety standards.
- Verifies settings by measuring positions and first-run parts.
- Maintains safe operations by adhering to safety procedures.
- Documents actions by completing production and quality logs.
Location: Admiralty
Working Days: 5 days a week
Working hours: 9:00am - 6:00pm
Salary: $3000 - $4000 (depends on experience)
- Produces machined parts by operating a computer numerical control (CNC) grinder.
- Maintaining quality and safety standards; keeping records; maintaining equipment and supplies.
- Loads feed mechanism by automation gripper and conveyor.
- Verifies settings by measuring positions, first-run part, and sample workpieces; adhering to company standards.
- Maintains specifications by observing grinding operations; taking measurements; detecting malfunctions; troubleshooting processes; adjusting controls; replacing worn tools; adhering to quality assurance procedures and processes.
- Maintains safe operations by adhering to safety procedures and regulations.
- Maintains equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements; following manufacturer's instructions; troubleshooting malfunctions; calling for repairs.
- Maintains continuity among work shifts by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities, and continuing needs.
- Documents actions by completing production and quality logs.
- Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading technical publications.
- Accomplishes organization goals by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.
