A leading agricultural company in Alberta seeks a Field Scout technician to monitor crop growth, assist in field activities such as planting and harvesting, and report observations to management. Candidates should have a diploma or interest in agricultural studies, be able to lift 60 lbs, and work outdoors in all weather conditions. A Class 5 Drivers License is required. This role offers a chance to be a vital part of a dedicated team, contributing to healthy crop management.

Qualifications

  • Interest in agricultural studies essential.
  • Able to stand or walk for long periods.
  • Lift weights of up to 60lbs.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor growth and development of sweet corn and green pea fields.
  • Record scouting observations and report findings regularly.
  • Manage ECB traps and report pesticide application timings.
