An authentic South Indian restaurant in Calgary is seeking a Specialty Foods Chef skilled in traditional South Indian cuisine. This full-time position requires a minimum of 3 years' experience and a Cook's trade certification. Responsibilities include preparing a variety of dishes, training kitchen staff, and maintaining high food quality standards. The ideal candidate will work in a fast-paced environment and demonstrate expertise in South Indian cooking techniques and flavors.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Chef specializing in traditional South Indian cuisine required.
  • Deep knowledge of South Indian cooking techniques, including use of tandoors and clay pots.
  • Ability to prepare a diverse range of South Indian dishes.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain records of food costs, consumption, sales and inventory.
  • Prepare and cook a full range of traditional South Indian dishes.
  • Oversee kitchen operations and ensure timely service during peak hours.
