Responsibilities:

• Assess students' ability to function in the educational environment, including skills related to hand function, oral motor function, visual motor and perceptual skills, seating and positioning, organizational skills, sensory awareness and processing, self-care, and prevocational/vocational skills.
• Participate in collaborative program planning.
• Consult with classroom teachers, educational assistants, counselors, and parents.
• Work with teachers to adapt classroom environments and learning materials.
• Recommend and train staff on assistive technology and equipment.
• Monitor implementation of recommendations and provide feedback.
• Conduct in-service training for school personnel.
• Assist with transition planning, especially from secondary education to adult life.
• Support staff development, program monitoring, and evaluation.

Qualifications:

• Master's degree or equivalent in Occupational Therapy.
• Eligibility for registration with Saskatchewan Society of Occupational Therapists.
• Valid driver's license and willingness to travel.
• Motivation to work independently and as part of a team.
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, and assessment skills.
