This position is responsible for the profitable production and underwriting of contractor’s pollution / professional liability coverage for contractors and environmental consultants and pollution liability for site specific risks.

• Manages and Underwrites profitable book of renewal and new business per AXA XL Guidelines.
• Cultivates key broker relationships.
• Reviews submissions per authorized guidelines.
• Prices, quotes and binds business.
• Reviews Completed Engineering Surveys.
• Advocate and cross sell other AXA XL product lines to further drive the AXA XL business as a whole.
• Participate in volunteer or special projects as needed.
• Acting as a representative of the company and our agents by attending internal / external company functions, agent sponsored and industry events.
• Cross-sell across Middle Market and Large Commercial business unit to maximize deployment of AXA XL’s capital.
• You will report to the Underwriting Manager, Environmental.

• Moderate years of underwriting experience preferred.
• Some experience in environmental consulting an asset.
• Solution oriented, marketing focused and collaborative.
• Strong time management skills.
• Ability to execute business strategies.
• Ability to establish and maintain broker-client relationships.
• Consistently pursue opportunities to differentiate AXA XL in the industry through our offerings and how we conduct business.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong negotiation skills.
• Collaborative team player who provides creative solutions and ideas for resolution.
• Knowledge of the Canadian insurance industry, combined with in-depth technical knowledge of CPL PLL product offerings and effective broker relationships.
• Education: Bachelor’s Degree required.
• Travel time is estimated at 5%
