A leading insurance association in Canada seeks a Director, Government and Stakeholder Affairs. The role involves leading advocacy programs at federal and provincial levels, managing relationships with key stakeholders, and requires 7-10 years of experience in government relations. Reporting to and working with the Vice President, Government Relations and Public Affairs, the Director, Government and Stakeholder Affairs is responsible for planning, developing, delivering, and maintaining advocacy programs, primarily at the federal level. The Director’s focus will be on key files related to the products and services provided by life and health insurers; including health benefits, pensions, and retirement savings as well as issues related to the Insurance Companies Act (ICA).
This is a contract role to cover a maternity leave and will last approximately 12-14 months.
