Senior Mobile Engineer, Invoice Simple – REMOTE / Canada

We are looking for a Senior Mobile Software Developer to focus on our Invoice Simple brand. This role is on our Core team, which enables freelancers and contractors to invoice their customers easily and get paid on time. Our products help hundreds of thousands of small businesses save time, stay organized and look professional.

Invoice Simple is the leading invoice app, and still growing rapidly. Over the years we’ve supported hundreds of thousands of delighted customers using our highly rated iOS and Android apps and our website.

Invoice Simple is the simplest way to invoice customers, and one of the fastest growing EverCommerce brands. Our customers are contractors, freelancers, owner-operators, creatives, and other small business owners. We help them save time, stay organized and look professional. We provide the tools for a diverse group of hundreds of thousands of small businesses and solopreneurs around the world to run the business they want on their own terms.

We work with Typescript, React-native and ReactJS-based frameworks. We have a deep understanding of the Android and iOS platforms. Our server-side components are implemented in Typescript, running on NodeJS, MongoDB and PostgreSQL.

We are looking for a passionate, experienced software developer with 7+ years of experience behind you and you are ready to provide technical guidance and direction to a team of developers through the design, implementation, and automated / integration testing.

You are keen on adopting the best engineering practices for running, monitoring and maintaining complex software. You bring a diverse knowledge base that you use to help the team solve complex technical problems.

You have a history of delivering successful projects, as well as some lessons learned from failures. You easily establish relationships and networks with senior internal and external stakeholders, adjusting your communication style to different audiences, often advising others on complex technical matters.

Responsibilities :

Influence the work of team members, and mentor emerging technical leaders.

Work with engineering and product stakeholders to refine the product roadmap.

Plan and drive execution of product features, taking active part in software development activities, implementing and shipping code.

Take leading role in product refinement sessions, and ensure that your team delivers high-quality, scalable software solutions that address both customer and business goals.

Ensure your team’s solutions are easy to support by encouraging good, scalable design, adopting best engineering practices, and setting the bar for quality.

Skills and Experience needed for success in this role :

• Extensive knowledge of mobile app development from ideation to publishing
• Experience building smooth modern mobile apps for iOS and Android using Typescript / react-native stack
• Native Android or iOS development experience using either Java / Kotlin or Objective-C / Swift
• Experience with Realm.io, Firebase and push notifications
• Familiarity with Node.js ecosystem and associated tools.
• Strong SQL knowledge and working knowledge of MongoDB or another document NoSQL database
• Familiar with Docker, GitHub / git
• Curious, data-driven, and you love to ask questions
• 7+ years of professional software development experience
• Familiarity with commonly used data structures, software design paradigms
• Excellent analytical and troubleshooting abilities
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills

Nice to Haves :

• Experience with offline-first mobile applications
• Production experience working with massively adopted (100k+ users) mobile applications
• Working with Startups / fast-moving teams

Where :

The EverCommerce team is distributed globally, with teams in the U.S., Canada, the U.K., Jordan, New Zealand, and Australia. With a widely distributed team, we are used to working remotely across different time zones. This role can be based anywhere in Canada – if you are close to one of our offices, we can set you up in-office or you can work 100% remotely. Please note that you must be eligible to work without sponsorship to qualify for this position, and this role may require travel to our Corporate Headquarters in Denver, Colorado, or to other office locations around North America.

Compensation :

EverCommerce is committed to equal pay and transparency. The annual base salary range for this position is $130,000 - $150,000 CAD Per Year + bonus. Please note that the salary range information provided is a general guideline and combines all distinct labor markets in the US. EverCommerce considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate’s work experience, candidate’s work location,

education / training, key skills, internal peer equity, external market data, as well as market and business considerations when making compensation decisions.
