THE ROLE:
We are looking for a talented and motivated Social Media Manager & Content Creator to join our team. As a Social Media Manager & Content Creator you will play a key role in developing and implementing marketing strategies to promote our unique brand and drive business growth. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment. Work will be performed onsite in our Victoria office, however you may need to travel to the lower mainland from time to time.

The role will be involved in all marketing, branding, and event planning initiatives, including developing and executing campaigns to maximize company exposure for our unique brand.

KEY Responsibilities:
· Work with the senior management team to develop and implement Suki’s global marketing strategy.

· Ensure all marketing efforts serve to achieve immediate and long-term business goals, identifying and executing improvements for processes, content, and lead generation.

· Develop and execute social media strategies to enhance brand visibility and engagement.

· Create, edit, and publish high-quality video and photo content for various platforms (Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, YouTube, Patreon).

· Manage content calendars, schedule posts, and monitor engagement metrics.

· Collaborate with hairstylists and the marketing team to showcase services, promotions, and behind-the-scenes content.

· Engage with the online community by responding to comments, messages, and mentions.

· Track and analyze social media performance using insights and analytics tools.

· Coordinate and execute content shoots, including setting up lighting, framing shots, and directing talent.

· Maintain brand consistency across all digital content.

· Contribute to planning and executing new product launches.

· Prepare reports, briefs, presentations, and website content

· Evaluate and monitor campaign performance on an ongoing basis by analyzing key metrics and creating reports to outline results.

· Develop portfolio of marketing materials.

· Prepare and execute branded marketing campaigns on social media and through other vendors.

· Create, proofread, and edit copy for various marketing channels, ensuring consistent voice and branding is maintained across all platforms.

· Plan and manage internal and external events, conferences, and trade shows by identifying, assembling, and coordinating requirements with vendors and management, establishing contacts, developing schedules and assignments, and coordinating mailing lists.

· Continually research and identify new sources of prospective customer data and provide recommendations to the leadership team.

· Manage the influencer program to help boost organic reach and engagement.

Qualifications:
· 3 years’ experience as a social media manager / content creator.

· 2 years’ experience within the hair salon industry.

· Bachelor’s degree in relevant discipline.

· Exceptional verbal and written English, French is an asset.

· Full Clean Canadian Driver’s License.

· Experience with SEO/SEM campaigns.

SOFTWARE REQUIREMENTS

Must be proficient in all programs listed below and remain current with periodical upgrading/training:

Video Editing: Final Cut Pro, Capcut.
Superior Microsoft 365 skills (MS Office, SharePoint, Dynamics).
Video Editing: Final Cut Pro, Capcut
· ChatGPT & Notion (for AI-assisted workflows)

· After Effects, Blender, Motion 5 (for 2D/3D animations)

· Experience working with Adobe products (Photoshop, Illustrator).

· Graphic Design: Adobe Photoshop, Canva.

· Social Media Management: Meta Business Suite, Hootsuite, Squarepace, Linktree.

Skills and Competencies:
· Creative – must have an artistic flair and knowledge of latest fashion trends.

· Accountable – Fast and efficient, able to respond to sense of urgency and competing priorities.

· Motivated – Displays intent & desire to learn and become a subject matter expert.

· Resourcefulness – Proactive & takes initiative, anticipates management needs regarding data, reporting, and meeting deadlines.

· Organized & Detail Oriented – Reliable and quality control oriented, takes pride in accuracy.

· Perceptive – Exceptional analytical abilities, critical thinker, intuitive information processing skills.

· Excellent presentation skills; Able to proof, format and present/print documents or charts in line with professional standards of the business.

Communicator – Good reasoning and negotiation skills.
· High attention to detail and creativity.

· Firm grasp on various marketing platforms, channels, and best practices, including social, digital, and design platforms.
