Contract à Canada

We are seeking a detail-oriented Accounts Payable Clerk with 1-2 years of experience to join our manufacturing client in a high-volume environment. This role is ideal for someone who excels in coding and entering invoices, performing reconciliations, and supporting month-end accounting processes. The position is a 6-month contract to start, with a strong opportunity for full-time employment for the right candidate.

• Process and code a high volume of vendor invoices accurately and efficiently
• Ensure all invoices are matched to purchase orders and receiving documents
• Enter AP transactions into the accounting system in a timely manner
• Prepare and post AP-related month-end journal entries
• Perform general ledger reconciliations related to Accounts Payable
• Assist with payment runs and maintain vendor records
• Respond to vendor inquiries and resolve discrepancies
• Support the accounting team with month-end close tasks as needed

• 1-2 years of Accounts Payable experience in a fast-paced environment
• Strong understanding of invoice coding, GL accounts, and reconciliations
• Proficiency with accounting software and MS Excel
• High level of accuracy, attention to detail, and organizational skills
• Strong communication skills and a proactive, problem-solving approach
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
• Post-secondary education in Accounting or Business Administration is an asset

• Competitive salary of $58 - $62K if offered full time
• $28 - $32/hr while on contract
• Flexible working hours (Monday–Friday, onsite), typically a 7:30 am start
• Opportunity to transition to full-time permanent employment
