Hatch, a full-service consultancy, is seeking a highly motivated Process Engineering Student to join the Industrial Clean Tech practice in Trail, BC, for the Fall 2025 term, with an 8- or 12-month duration.

The Industrial Clean Tech practice, comprising over 60 specialists, focuses on air pollution control and gas handling systems, ensuring environmental compliance and workplace hygiene to maximize plant productivity.

• Contributing to complex projects worldwide
• Gaining relevant experience in an office environment
• Collaborating with diverse teams locally and globally
• Applying academic knowledge practically
• Mentorship from industry leaders
• Participation in events like Lunch and Learns, charity events, and student showcases

• Perform mass and energy balances, prepare process flow diagrams
• Conduct on-site measurements
• Assist in Industrial Clean Tech projects within a multidisciplinary team
• Prepare technical calculations, reports, specifications, datasheets
• Analyze data and develop computer models
• Participate in meetings and collaborate with client teams

• Enrolled in a Chemical or Mechanical Engineering degree at an accredited university
• Interest in industrial applications
• Strong communication skills
• Ability to interpret process flow diagrams, P&IDs, and mechanical drawings

• Working in a project-based environment
• Technical concepts and calculations
• Report writing and presentation skills
• Engineering design development from concept to construction
