Policy Analyst — Advancing Inuit Women’s Health & Rights
Job summary
An organization for Inuit women's advocacy is seeking a Policy Analyst to support the development and review of public policy aimed at advancing the interests of Inuit women. The ideal candidate will utilize a gender-based lens to analyze policies and initiatives while promoting cultural equity. Responsibilities include research, collaboration with government bodies, and developing strategic recommendations. The role requires a strong understanding of Inuit social contexts and policy matters, with fluency in English and a working knowledge of Inuktitut being desirable.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years working with government officials and funding organizations.
- Minimum of 1 year supporting assessment and analysis of policy for Inuit or Indigenous projects.
- Experience in community-based research and analyzing information.
Responsibilities
- Recommend and implement relevant strategic directions.
- Analyze and recommend policy and legislative opportunities.
- Research information related to Inuit participation in social and economic contexts.
