YMCA Calgary Youth Coordinator (Part Time)
Salary: $20.35/hour - $22.61/hour
Start Date: August 2026

What qualifications are we looking for?
- Knowledge and experience facilitating and planning strength‑based recreation and youth engagement programming, that includes sport and physical activity
- Customer service experience and/or experience working in a health‑focused industry or recreational facility
- Demonstrate skills in youth behavior management
- Experience working in an effective team to collaboratively achieve desired outcomes
- Ability to plan and deliver developmentally appropriate children and youth programs
- Competency in oral and written communication skills, including basic use of technology
- Current Standard First Aid with CPR‑C certificated within the last 12 months from an approved AB OHS provider. Asset if certification is issued by one of the following five Canadian organizations: Canadian Red Cross, Heart and Stroke Foundation, Lifesaving Society, St John's Ambulance and/or Canadian Ski Patrol
- Evidence of a cleared Police Information Check and Vulnerable Sector Search
- Three professional references required
What does this role look like at YMCA Calgary?
- Ensure execution of the Calgary Flames Grade 6 program by direct delivery and engagement with Grade 6 youth at different regional YMCA locations
- Actively participate in Flames Friday, weekly Grade 6, and Alumni programs
- Support the growth of other youth initiatives as needed
- Support Youth Supervisor with recruitment and development of volunteers within your team
- Implement all health and safety systems, policies, and procedures
- Be a YMCA Calgary annual campaign ambassador and share YMCA stories

- The Youth Coordinator will be primarily responsible for direct youth program delivery with occasional administrative responsibilities. Programs will occur at the Shawnessy YMCA, and Remington YMCAs. Working hours include evenings and some weekends
