Job summary

Paladin Security is seeking a Part-Time Supervisor for Yorkville Village, operated by First Capital. The role covers weekend shifts (Saturday and Sunday) with overtime averaging after 88 hours and reports to the Client Service Manager.

Focus on safety, policy adherence, and professional representation of Paladin and clients. This on-site position requires a Ontario security license, First Aid/CPR Level C, valid driver’s license, and a clean driving record.

Qualifications

• Must hold valid Ontario Security License.
• Must have English fluency (oral and written).
• Prior supervisory or management experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain alertness while patrolling and standing for extended periods in all weather.
• Communicate effectively with security staff, dispatchers, client and Paladin Managerial staff.
• Ensure adherence to Paladin Security policies and procedures at Yorkville Village.
• Complete mobile patrols diligently and document incidents and concerns.
• Respond promptly to emergencies and coordinate with relevant teams.

Schedule: Saturday and Sunday (1200-0000)

OT Method: Overtime is Averaging Agreement (AA) After 88 hours

Internal Closing Date: September 24th, 2026

External Closing Date : October 2, 2026

Key Responsibilities:

• Being alert and observant while being outside, standing or walking for an extended period in all weather conditions (Rain, Snow, Excessive Heat & Cold…etc.)
• always Maintain communications with fellow Security Guard/dispatchers, Cliental and Paladin Managerial Staff.
• Ensures all site staff adhere to all Paladin Security policies and procedures
• Completing mobile patrols diligently
• Documents and investigates security incidents and complaints
• Communicates any concerns/issues with Supervisor/Client Service Manager or the client
• Always Maintain the highest standard of security, being professional in attitude, appearance and application
• Represent Paladin Security, Yorkville Village and their respected customers in such a way as to enhance the quality, image and reputation
• Perform security duties in accordance with established procedures. Ensure they are being conducted within the limitations of any federal, provincial and municipal laws
• Be observant and record all discrepancies, deficiencies and safety hazards/concerns noted during patrols and take corrective action either informing the applicable department or handling it personally, whenever possible
• Be courteous, and helpful in enforcing all company policies, procedures, rules and regulations
• Respond immediately to any emergency and co-ordinate response accordingly based off established procedures

Prerequisites:

• Valid Security License for the province of Ontario
• Valid First Aid & CPR - Level C (from a WSIB-approved vendor)
• Valid G class Driver License
• Must provide drivers abstract. No more than 2 minor convictions, no major convictions, and no more than 6 demerits in the last three years
• English (oral and written) fluency is a must
• Previous experience in supervisory or management position, law enforcement, or a related field
• Must be able to provide certifications in Use of Force (UOF) and Management of Aggressive Behavior (MOAB)
• Legally authorized to work in Canada
