Job summary

Paladin Security is hiring a Security Supervisor for North York General Hospital in Toronto. The role provides leadership, coaching, and ensures daily shift activities and hospital policies are followed.

The supervisor plans schedules, ensures mandatory training, and motivates staff. Responsibilities include audits, incident documentation, proactive/reactive patrols, and coordination with the Client Service Manager.

Qualifications

• Valid First Aid & CPR Level C
• Proof of double Covid Vaccination
• Immunization record (MMR, measles, TB skin tests)
• Valid G class Driver's License
• Willing to complete UOF/MOAB fit testing during training
• At least 1 year healthcare security supervisor experience preferred
• Post secondary education in security adds value

• Provides leadership, direction, coaching and training

Position: Security Supervisor

Pay Rate: $24.67/hr.

Overtime Eligibility: Over time is Averaging Agreement after 88 Hours

Internal Posting Date: September 14, 2026

Job Description:

• Provides leadership, direction, and ongoing coaching and training.
• Ensures all standing orders and scheduled daily activities are carried out as required for each shift
• Ensures site staff adhere to all Paladin Security and site-specific security policies and procedures
• Plans and implements shift work schedules
• Ensures all Security Guards have received the mandatory training.
• Motivates staff and issues commendations
• Disciplines staff when necessary and ensures proper documentation is passed onto head office
• Performs security audits
• Documents and investigates security incidents and complaints
• Provide proactive and reactive security patrols
• Communicates any concerns/issues with Client Service Manager

Prerequisites:

• Valid First Aid & CPR Level C from a WSIB approved provider
• Proof of double Covid Vaccination
• Immunization Record (measles, mumps, rubella, varicella, and TB skin tests 1 and 2)
• Valid G class Driver's License
• Must be willing to complete N95 Mask fit testing during the training
• At least one year of healthcare security supervisor/team lead experience would be preferred
• Post Secondary education in a law enforcement/security program from a recognized college would be an asset
• Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal)
• Legally authorized to work in Canada
• Must be able to provide certifications in Use of Force (UOF) and Management of Aggressive Behavior (MOAB)
• Applicants who do not possess these certifications can opt into Paladin's Use of Force (UOF)/Management of Aggressive Behavior (MOAB) certification program prior to their onboarding training to ensure they meet the requirements of the position

Please be aware: The UOF/MOAB certification is not paid as it is a pre-employment requisite; however, Paladin will cover all the costs of the training with a 6-month commitment to the position/availability
