Job Description

This role requires some light lifting and the ability to operate equipment such as forklifts and overhead cranes in a fabrication shop setting.

NOTE: this is NOT a warehouse job.

Key Responsibilities

• Load and unload trucks using a forklift: up to 40' lengths of pipe, steel etc.
• Organise and move inventory around the yard: process skids, pressure vessels etc.
• Assist with general shop duties as needed
• Conduct regular inspections of equipment to ensure proper functioning
• Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a clean work environment

Required Qualifications

• Previous experience moving large/long loads is an asset: structural steel, pipe, process skids, pressure vessels.
• Must have a forklift ticket
• Mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot equipment issues
• Ability to perform light lifting and physical tasks throughout the day
• Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
