Job summary

Techo-Bloc in Canada is seeking a Yard Forklift Operator to load orders safely and efficiently in an outdoor yard. You will locate, move, and stage concrete products while maintaining strict safety standards.

This hands-on role requires a valid forklift competency card and at least one year of sit-down forklift experience, plus punctuality and good attendance. Night shift runs Monday to Thursday, 4 PM to 4 AM with a nightly $2 premium; the position offers competitive wages, growth opportunities,

Qualifications

• Valid forklift operator's competency card or to be renewed.
• Experience as a sit-down forklift operator (1 year minimum).
• Self-motivated and proactive; strong safety focus.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate a propane sit-down forklift in a busy outdoor yard environment.
• Pick and stage products according to shipping orders.
• Load customer and company trucks accurately and efficiently.
• Transport products and materials throughout the yard to support operations.
• Perform daily pre-operational inspections of equipment and report any defects or issues.
• Maintain awareness of pedestrians, trucks, equipment, and yard traffic at all times.
• Follow safe operating procedures and forklift capacity limits.
• Keep equipment clean and in good working condition.
• Assist with yard organization and housekeeping to maintain a safe environment.
• Follow all company health and safety policies and procedures.

Your Role

As a Yard Forklift Operator, you play a key role in ensuring customer orders are loaded accurately, efficiently, and safely. Working in an outdoor environment, you will be responsible for locating, moving, and loading concrete products throughout the yard while maintaining a strong focus on safety and productivity.
