Raise is currently hiring a Work Program Manager on behalf of our client, one of the largest electrical energy suppliers in Canada. This is a unique opportunity to join a growing team within an industry leader.

Description

The Work Program Manager will be responsible for planning, directing, and reporting on infrastructure and construction projects. Strong communication, stakeholder engagement, and project monitoring skills are essential to ensure projects meet organizational objectives.

Responsibilities

  • Plan, direct, and report on infrastructure and construction projects, including creating project plans, action logs, communication plans, and post-implementation reviews.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
  • Develop strategies to maximize efficiency and program delivery.
  • Communicate effectively across organizational levels, report on progress, and escalate issues as needed.
  • Manage risks and address roadblocks during project execution.
  • Develop project and risk management plans for projects up to $20 million.
  • Oversee activities such as quality assurance, stakeholder engagement, regulatory approvals, procurement, construction, and safety, ensuring projects stay within time and budget constraints.
  • Conduct project management activities including scoping, planning, and monitoring using MS Office and project management tools.
  • Maintain relationships with stakeholders through regular communication.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years of project management experience with infrastructure projects, managing budgets of $5-20M annually.
  • Experience in strategy development, risk management, and financial analysis.
  • Valid Class 5 driver’s license for site visits.
  • Preferred: Utility experience and PMP certification.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, Economics, or related field; Engineering degree preferred.
  • Intermediate MS Office skills; excellent written and verbal English communication skills.

Additional Information

  • Candidates will perform an Excel skills assessment during the interview.
  • Hybrid work schedule with at least 2 days in the office.
  • Contractors must supply their own Windows laptop and smartphone for the duration of the assignment.
